Disclaimer: Any study guide posted here may have incorrect information, as everyone is human...including the BMs who've written the study guides (not to mention policy changes). This is why it is critical that you read the appropriate manuals when studying, not just read the study guides. If you find something wrong, notify the study guide author so they can update it and submit a corrected copy. You are responsible for knowing the material, so I would encourage you to hit the books first and use the study guides as a companion document to your studying.

If you are thinking of getting out of the Guard, I would encourage you to seriously consider staying with the Coast Guard by joining the CG Reserve.  Click here to read an interesting article on staying in the CG. Just think about it...ok?   Visit the CG Reserve or CG Recruiting.
Auxiliarist Jim Kelly and friends have created a great website to help folks with their Auxiliary crew member and coxswain qualifications, as well as teach new Coasties who are in the delayed entry program. Please check out the website at the D13 Division 8 Crew/Coxswain Academy. Any comments to improve the training would be greatly appreciated, so please take a moment to check it out.
Check back often.  Pass the word to your fellow BMs and help your baby boats advance.  It's a small boat and we're all in it together. Lastly, I wish you all good luck in your careers.  Please sign my guestbook and let me (and everyone else) know what you think.  Please click on SIGN GUESTBOOK below. Take care, best wishes, and stay safe.

Notes from the Webmaster...24 FEB 2009

Special thanks to MST2 John Namako for creating the above banner and BM jolly roger.

BMCS Hollandsworth has convinced the powers that be to create an OIC tab in CG Central for sharing information. Yet another great avenue to share your knowledge. Help spread the word and use it! To get to the site Log onto CG Central Click on the "Communities tab" Click on "Find a Community" Click on "Browse for a Community" Click on the " + " next to Command Click on "Officer in Charge" Your in, next time you come back to the Communities tab this one will come up unless you visit another community. You can also save it as a favorite for quick retrieval.

Be aware that many of the BM EOCT and courses have changed recently. Study guides posted here are likely dated now and will not completely prepare you for the test. Read your course material, hit the manuals, and do your homework. No point wasting your time (or your ESO's) if you didn't prepare for the test.

Some of the links found on this page are to the Coast Guard's intranet and cannot be accessed from outside of the CG. Please verify this is the case before contacting me about broken links.

If you are taking the time to send me something, please tell me what you are sending me and why. If there is no explanation included on emails with an attachment, I will delete them without reading the attachment, as I assume it is either spam or a virus. Also, please submit items for the website to the below email address, not my CG work email.
